With the HIPS now been abolished by the current Goverment it is now no longer a legal requirement to have this before you market your property.
The Energy Performance Certificate is still required while marketing your property and this should be provided within 28 days of the property going on to the market.
Nothing could be more straightforward. Once we receive your instructions to market your home, we can apply for the EPC on your behalf.
The Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)
This tells you how energy efficient the home is on a scale of
A-G.
The certificate also tells you on a scale of A-G, about the impact the home has on the environment.
The average property in the UK is expected to be in band D-E for both ratings.
Recommendations are included in the certificate about ways to improve the homes energy efficiency, to help the environment and save on energy bills.
